Your First Visit
We look forward to welcoming you to The Dental Grove! From the moment you enter our clinic, we want you to feel comfortable and at ease. We have lots of windows and natural light, with a beautiful and soothing color palette. Our essential oil diffuser helps relieve any anxiety you may feel about visiting the dentist.
Our dental assistant will talk with you about your dental health and goals, and will conduct a preliminary examination. Then Dr. Neha will see you for your examination and cleaning.
Generally, we encourage new patients to get a comprehensive examination at their initial visit. In some cases, patients come in for the first time with a problem area, so we may do a problem-focused examination at this visit and recommend a full exam later.
Not every patient can receive a cleaning at their first visit. If your examination reveals problems that need to be addressed before we can clean, we’ll schedule appointments for those treatments.
Focus on Education
Throughout your examination, Dr. Neha will explain everything she does and all her findings. She may use an intraoral camera to take pictures, so you can see what she sees. She often gives patients a mirror, so they can follow along with her throughout the examination.
She wants patients to understand what gingivitis, tartar, calculus and cavities look like, so you can trust our recommendations. She takes her time with every patient, offering focused one-on-one care. Because we are so thorough, you should plan an hour to an hour and a half for this visit.
